Sounds like you should be running a higher diameter and lower pitched prop but there are several factors that can determine the ideal prop for your boat. The "rule of thumb" is that for every inch in pitch you go up you lose aprox 200 rpms and if you go down you gain aprox 200 rpms so if you went from a 19 to a 15 on your current prop, you should turn around 5800 rpms.. I'd suggest googling "prop calculator" and using one of those to get you in the ball park. |

I'd leave the 18 on it and enjoy the boat. |
