Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I have a 04 21' sea pro bayboat with a 04-200hp Yamaha.
I am only getting 5000 RPM with 38 top end on a 19 pitch prop that is 13". What prop should I use to get more top end and 5700 RPM? Anyone have any suggestions? It would be very appreciated.

Sounds like you should be running a higher diameter and lower pitched prop but there are several factors that can determine the ideal prop for your boat. The "rule of thumb" is that for every inch in pitch you go up you lose aprox 200 rpms and if you go down you gain aprox 200 rpms so if you went from a 19 to a 15 on your current prop, you should turn around 5800 rpms.. I'd suggest googling "prop calculator" and using one of those to get you in the ball park.

I put on a 18 pitch by 13" prop and got 5600RPM and 39-40 out of that. Doing better [/quote

I can see 200 but don't know how you got 600 from dropping one inch in pitch... Something else had to change but those are good numbers. I'd leave the 18 on it and enjoy the boat.

Juan you and I have same era boats and run 4 strokes at 140 and 150 HP and are getting same performance numbers for about the same pitch props. I would think a 200 HP two stroke would top out over 40 mph, even it was weak on a dynometer by design when even new.

I run a larger diameter and smaller pitch (14 1/2" X 15p) prop to get optimal performance. (with a little cup added)... different than what you guys are running. The difference in our hulls may be the reason in prop difference IDK. I too would think a 200 would be a little faster but there are way too many factors I don't know to make that call.
